Train for a Career as an Office Administration Professional

ITI Technical College has a 15-month Office Administration Certificate Program. Teaching methods include demonstrations and lectures. Studies are individualized and progress is monitored with assignments and quizzes.

An intensive program dealing with Office Administration begins by creating a solid foundation of skills for students including an introduction and overview of the business office setting. The student will become familiar with general business practices, computers, keyboarding with the most current Microsoft Office software and office applications, and equipment. An introduction to Business, Business Finance, and Business Computer through QuickBooks applications is taught. All students will be exposed to workplace communications, business office etiquette, business and technical writing (both written and oral), as well as resume preparation. During the program, the student will also be exposed to human resources from a “hiring” position. Students may choose to apply for an externship to apply their skills in a working environment. The student will be exposed to the application of management principles and practices as they relate to the Office Assistant.
